IT Committee Projects

  • Update MediaWiki
    • Wiki is version 1.35. Current versions are 1.39 (oldest supported LTS), 1.43 (current LTS) or 1.45 (latest)
  • Explore the use of Odoo community software for official PNC business

Routine IT activities

  • Keep uspirates.org software up to date (Jamie)
  • Maintain backups as possible for all official platforms (?)
  • Hunt down dead links and information on uspirates.org and the wiki (John)

Older IT projects (needs review)

  • Keep support.uspirates.org software up to date
    • Consider replacing this domain with project management choice?
    • Otherwise consider this unsupported?
  • Add archived files to wiki.uspirates.org (Jamie)

  • Consider state.uspirate.party domains (wait for John proof of concept)
  • Wiki maintenance,
    • Wiki needs a cache refresh, various SpecialPages list entries that no longer exist
    • Something is broken reviewing entries at Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Non-free_web_screenshot
    • revise wiki system date format (on the bottom of the page) to be more universal or americanized by default
    • know who active backend, bureaucrat, sysop users are?
    • ^ bureaucrat list (this is a potential security issue given the amount of advanced rights holders who are also inactive)
    • Make the wiki more pretty?
