[9:04pm] Bosun: I do not know if Mitch will be on.
[9:04pm] Sayyida: hey Olivia_ !!!
[9:04pm] Bosun: Anything new from IT?
[9:05pm] jokeefe: Copied blog to
[9:06pm] jokeefe: It is active now, and should look the same
[9:06pm] Olivia_: Hey Meg and hope everyone is doing well and not freezing I hear the East coast is about to be hit with a Nor-easter..
[9:06pm] jokeefe: I installed the new PPDE theme, but haven’t activated it until we know how to configure it
[9:06pm] Sayyida: OOOO that sucks for our east coast members. Chicago isn't death cold but its damp and 33
[9:06pm] jokeefe: That was yesterday
[9:07pm] Olivia_: Great for the domain change! I can make a new blog post announcing it saying to change bookmarks.
[9:07pm] Sayyida: jokeefe, thanks!
[9:07pm] jokeefe: Will add link to the Discord.
[9:07pm] jokeefe: The old blog will have a note telling people to go to the new blog.
[9:08pm] Olivia_: Hopefully all archived links still redirect.
[9:08pm] Joe: The Nor'Easter was yesterday, but in terms of storms it was relatively mild.
[9:08pm] Olivia_: Is the old domain name secure and not able to be jacked?
[9:09pm] jokeefe: They should all be.
[9:09pm] Olivia_: Back home growing up during Nor-easters we had walls of snow but throughout the years it got milder.
[9:09pm] Bosun: How many do we have?
[9:09pm] Bosun: ... domains
[9:10pm] jokeefe: two
[9:10pm] jokeefe: and
[9:11pm] Bosun: Does the hosting settup make it difficult to have the site answer to both?
[9:12pm] jokeefe: I believe it is all apache, so should be able to do redirects
[9:13pm] Bosun: Or just make the virtual domains use the same files.
[9:14pm] jokeefe: Will look into that, but each domain’s hosting setup is different
[9:14pm] Bosun: OK
[9:15pm] Bosun: Are we done with IT?
[9:15pm] jokeefe: yes
[9:15pm] Sayyida: Half way done, 15 min left
[9:15pm] Bosun: Thank you for your hard work.
[9:15pm] Bosun: Outreach?
[9:16pm] yari: Pretty sure the only thing is your proposal, Bosun
[9:16pm] jokeefe: Happy to have it done
[9:16pm] Olivia_: Should I ping from now on the SAB list (if Mitch is on it?) on Sundays and Tuesdays so all interested will know of the Sunday meeting, outreach meeting, and MassPirates meeting the next day?
[9:17pm] Bosun: OK - yes.
[9:19pm] Bosun: We can have a third domain ... in the .coop TLD - we just need to have the cooperative association endorse cooperative principles.
[9:20pm] Bosun: So I drafted a set to drop in the incorporation papers in section 13 - which is essentially misc. on DC corporations.
[9:21pm] yari: Having the PNC be the governing body of a cooperative (and thus getting the .coop domain) would grant more legitimacy when dealing with official channels.
[9:22pm] yari: Personally, I'm all for it
[9:22pm] Bosun: I also set a few optional clarifications that we may include in the PNC bylaws essentially codifying the relation between the PNC and the cooperative association.
[9:22pm] Bosun: see agenda
[9:23pm] Bosun: Of course everything is subject to discussion.
[9:23pm] jokeefe: I don’t understand why we have two bylaws
[9:23pm] Bosun: we don't
[9:24pm] yari: Jokeefe you mean how on the wiki the PNC bylaws and USPP bylaws are separate?
[9:24pm] jokeefe: “Article V, section 1, 3
[9:24pm] jokeefe: Unless expressly stated in the United States Pirate Cooperative Association (USPCA) bylaws, the Pirate National Committee shall be considered the operating board of the United States Pirate Cooperative Association.”
[9:25pm] Bosun: We have currently an unincorporated entity and an incorporated one.
[9:25pm] yari: Ohh, I see.
[9:26pm] Bosun: USPCA currently has no bylaws, so the default is PNC bylaws.
[9:26pm] Sayyida: 4 min left. shall we vote for an extension of time?
[9:26pm] jokeefe: I would like time to think through these changes and how they integrate into the existing documents.
[9:27pm] Bosun: OK can We add the coop adendum to the articles of incorporation?
[9:27pm] Joe: May I suggest we send to the SAB list for further consideration and vote next week?
[9:27pm] Bosun: xSection 13.
[9:28pm] jokeefe: I have no objection to the proposed amendment to USPCA Articles of Incorporation
[9:28pm] jokeefe: Though we should have a copy of the updated document in the wiki
[9:28pm] yari: Yeah, the difficulty with the bylaws amendment is that to really understand it you have to reference the bylaws themselves
[9:29pm] yari: But the USPCA articles of incorporation are simple
[9:29pm] Sayyida: If jokeefe has no objection can we pass the changed of the articles of incorporation and defer all else to the PNC list
[9:31pm] jokeefe: I recommend that we send the change to the SAB list(s) and review it next meeting
[9:31pm] Sayyida: I motion to pass the changes to the articles of incor
[9:31pm] Joe: 2nd to send to list
[9:31pm] jokeefe: 2nd
[9:32pm] Bosun: all in favor.
[9:32pm] Joe: Aye
[9:32pm] Sayyida: aye
[9:32pm] jokeefe: aye
[9:32pm] Sayyida: who's voting for MA?
[9:33pm] Joe: wait, is this for changes or for sending to list?
[9:33pm] Yari_ joined the chat room.
[9:33pm] jokeefe: Let’s try this again:
[9:33pm] Joe: I will defer to Jokeefe to speak on behalf of MAPP
[9:33pm] Joe: Whom has my upmost respect and confidence.
[9:34pm] jokeefe: 1) Accept the change tot he articles of incorporation
[9:34pm] Bosun: The bbylaws portion goes to the list - The articles of incorporation change is just having the coop reafirm coopertive priciples.
[9:34pm] jokeefe: 2) send the bylaw changes to the SAB list(s) and review it next meeting
[9:34pm] Bosun: Yes.
[9:35pm] jokeefe: Is there a 2nd?
[9:35pm] Sayyida: second
[9:35pm] Bosun: I thought we passed it -
[9:35pm] jokeefe: there was some confusion
[9:36pm] Bosun: OK
[9:36pm] jokeefe: any objections?
[9:36pm] Sayyida: none
[9:36pm] Yari_: None
[9:36pm] Olivia_: no
[9:37pm] jokeefe: Joe?
[9:37pm] Joe: I have no objections
[9:37pm] jokeefe: motion passes. Thanks Bosun & yari
[9:37pm] Bosun: So passes.
[9:38pm] Yari_: We should end
[9:38pm] Sayyida: Motion to adjourn
[9:38pm] Joe: 2nd
[9:38pm] Sayyida: all in favor
[9:38pm] Joe: aye
[9:38pm] Olivia_: yes
[9:38pm] jokeefe: aye
[9:38pm] Sayyida: aye
[9:38pm] Bosun: we are adjourned.
[9:38pm] Sayyida: cool, good night
