Reports
- IT: Met. Blog software updated. Haven’t been able to reach out to Bosun. Will look at solving the issues with crew
- Platform: Had good discussion about the nature of the platform. Still need to complete the task of the list.
- Outreach: Trying out our new structure. Nothing of note project wise happened this week, but we discovered a few bugs in the new method we're using to run the meetings, and I consider that a win in my book
- Swarmcare: Just a reminder about Ethan and I’s 3 day summit, hosted by Revolutionary Blackout, highlighting 3rd Party candidates, which has been set for the weekend of March 18th-20th. Pennsylvania and Kentucky are continuing to progress and their existence is inevitable
- Treasurer: Nothing to report
- Secretary: Updating the notes

(connection closed) [9:04pm] Joe joined the chat room. [9:04pm] Wodensday: If it's about ideological differences between PPAU and EUOPP, I may suggest we set up a different meeting because I can see that being a thought provoking discussion worth its own timeslot. [9:05pm] jokeefe: James O’Keefe, Secretary, Massachusetts [9:05pm] Joe: Joseph Onoroski, MAPP, Treasurer, Massachusetts [9:05pm] yari: Rose Klein, PNC Chair [9:05pm] Wodensday: Anthony Jay, IN [9:06pm] Miles_Aus: @wodensday we have already motioned in support, just wanted to hear if you all had or were developing a stance [9:07pm] yari: pmchi and Miles_Aus , IDs are appreciated if you want to participate [9:07pm] yari: Let's go ahead and get started. [9:07pm] pmchi: Mitchel Davilo, Chicagoland/ILPP, Swarmcare Manager [9:07pm] Wodensday: Ah, gotcha. Illinois and I have been workshopping one but life has gotten in the way this weekend [9:07pm] Wodensday: Should be in line with PPI's [9:08pm] yari: Reports first: IT - jokeefe, anything to report? [9:08pm] Miles_Aus: Miles Whiticker, National President (Pirate Party Australia), Branch Representative (Fusion Party Australia) [9:09pm] jokeefe: Met. Blog software updated. [9:13pm] Joe: Had good discussion about the nature of the platform. Still need to complete the task of the list. [9:13pm] yari: Thank you Joe. Next, Outreach - Wodesnday, anything to report? [9:14pm] Joe: Though I seem to be missing the platform board atm. [9:14pm] Wodensday: Trying out our new structure. Nothing of note project wise happened this week, but we discovered a few bugs in the new method we're using to run the meetings, and I consider that a win in my book [9:15pm] Wodensday: Progress toward an even better committee [9:15pm] yari: Thank you Wodensday. Next, swarmcare - pmchi, anything to report? [9:15pm] pmchi: Just a reminder about Ethan and I’s 3 day summit, hosted by Revolutionary Blackout, highlighting 3rd Party candidates, which has been set for the weekend of March 18th-20th [9:15pm] pmchi: Otherwise no new news. Pennsylvania and Kentucky are continuing to progress and their existence is inevitable [9:16pm] yari: You sent an email saying that Alabama PP would be here tonight. Do you know if that's still the case? [9:17pm] pmchi: I did sent the email, unfortunately it seems they’re not in attendance tonight? I haven’t heard from them since I was told they’d come [9:17pm] yari: Fair enough, thank you. [9:17pm] yari: Next, treasury - Joe, anything to report? [9:19pm] Joe: Nothing to report [9:19pm] yari: Thank you Joe. Next, secretary - jokeefe, anything to report? [9:20pm] jokeefe: Just updating the notes [9:20pm] yari: Thank you jokeefe. That's reports. Any discussion on the reports before we move on to business? [9:20pm] Wodensday: None here [9:21pm] yari: Hearing no disucssion, we can move on to business. I had no old business on the docket - so we can move on to new business. [9:22pm] yari: Let's talk about the PPI/PPEU statement, and, presumably, whether to support it. [9:22pm] yari: Or more importantly, what else can be done. [9:22pm] Joe: I support it. [9:23pm] yari: A link to the statement, for those who have not seen: https://pp-international.net/2022/02/joint-statement-by-european-pirates-and-pirate-parties-international-on-putins-aggression-against-ukraine/ [9:23pm] papegaai: Title: Joint Statement by European Pirates and Pirate Parties International on Putin’s Aggression Against Ukraine – Pirate Parties International (at pp-international.net) [9:24pm] yari: Joe would you move that we support it as a body, and if so - how would you suggest we publish that support? [9:24pm] Wodensday: I move that we support the statement, and allow ourselves to promote in the future via our channels of communication if we so wish [9:25pm] jokeefe: This is Pirate Party of Russia’s statement https://pirate--party-ru.translate.goog/vojna-putina-s-ukrainoj/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp [9:25pm] papegaai: Title: Война Путина с Украиной | Пиратская партия России | PPRU (at pirate--party-ru.translate.goog) [9:25pm] Joe: I move to support it though how we promote it would but up to you. [9:25pm] Wodensday: (I will be right back) [9:25pm] Wodensday left the chat room. (connection closed) [9:26pm] Joe: I would simply link to it via blogs and twitter. [9:27pm] yari: Those are similar enough - If Wodensday is willing I would be happy to consider that a motion and a second. It seems that the main question for discussion right now is how to promote [9:28pm] Joe: I'll second Woden [9:28pm] Miles_Aus: here is PPAU's draft statement, going out in the next few hours https://pad.pirateparty.org.au/p/r.1a1cb448c0c4b054ad41b098b75c7718 [9:28pm] papegaai: Title: Pirate Party Australia Etherpad (at pad.pirateparty.org.au) [9:30pm] yari: Miles' example brings up an important point, which is: should our support simply remain in the form of repeating what was said in the PPI/PPEU release? Or do we want to add anything? [9:30pm] Miles_Aus: maybe something about a geriatric president with a finger on the nuke button? [9:32pm] jokeefe: Anyone’s finger on the red button is bad, no matter their age [9:32pm] Joe: Yes, being against totally destruction is a good stance. [9:33pm] yari: It's interesting how the word 'geriatric' in politics feels to me like a deep insult, despite its literal meaning being just... "old" [9:34pm] yari: Wodensday's motion has been properly seconded by Joe and so we are in discussion, by the way. [9:34pm] yari: The motion on the table is: That we support the statement, and allow ourselves to promote in the future via our channels of communication if we so wish [9:35pm] yari: With 'the statement' referring in this case to the joint statement by PPI/PPEU on Putin's aggression. [9:37pm] yari: I will note that while Wodensday said he would be 'right back' it has been ten minutes, and so this body is technically out of quorum... [9:37pm] yari: I'm going to ping him, just to check [9:37pm] yari: Discussion or debate, in the meantime. [9:39pm] yari: hearing no discussion or debate, I would move this to a vote - however [9:40pm] yari: We cannot vote without a quorum [9:40pm] yari: RIP [9:40pm] Radiojoe joined the chat room. [9:41pm] yari: AH! hello! [9:41pm] Radiojoe: Hey hey [9:41pm] yari: ID please for the record [9:41pm] Radiojoe: William Dappen, CA corep. The person who gets on in a second will be the same, but my computer instead of phone [9:42pm] yari: We have a quorum of states again. The current motion on the table is: That we support the statement [by PPI/PPEU on Putin's aggression in Ukraine], and allow ourselves to promote in the future via our channels of communication if we so wish [9:43pm] yari: Radiojoe, do you wish to discuss or debate the motion? [9:43pm] Radiojoe left the chat room. (connection closed) [9:43pm] yari: ... must be switching to the computer. [9:43pm] jokeefe: hopefully [9:44pm] yari: It would be nice to get at least one thing done tonight [9:44pm] yari: Did anyone have other things they wanted brought up during new business? [9:44pm] yari: (Joe jokeefe pmchi) [9:45pm] jokeefe: I do not. [9:45pm] Joe: Nor I [9:45pm] pmchi: None [9:46pm] Radiojoe joined the chat room. [9:47pm] Radiojoe: AAAH, sorry, phone died as I was writing, I support this motion wholehartedly [9:47pm] yari: Acknowledged. Further question: The motion on the table right now is about Putin's aggression in Ukraine - How else can the USPP help to mitigate international imperialist violence besides publishing this statement? [9:47pm] yari: Cool, thank you Radiojoe [9:47pm] Joe: I have nothing to add to the sadness that is the current state of affairs. Only that what is being done on a world stage is appalling and should never be the case. [9:48pm] yari: ^ agreed [9:48pm] yari: Okay, hearing no further discussion of the motion, we move to the vote [9:48pm] yari: Please type aye or nay [9:48pm] yari: to vote on the motion [9:49pm] Radiojoe: yay [9:49pm] Joe: Aye [9:49pm] Radiojoe: ore aye, mb [9:49pm] Radiojoe: or* [9:49pm] yari: understood [9:49pm] yari: pmchi? [9:52pm] yari: Can I even close the vote without a quorum of states voting? that just feels weird. [9:53pm] Joe: Can you contact pmchi directly? [9:53pm] yari: Only on discord - which I already have [9:54pm] jokeefe: pmchi would be abstaining [9:54pm] Radiojoe: Has Pmchi spoken on this topic before? [9:54pm] Radiojoe: if he is, we may be able to project his vote from his opinion? [9:54pm] yari: I will not assume pmchi's vote, of course [9:54pm] yari: No. [9:54pm] Radiojoe: ok [9:54pm] yari: we cannot do that [9:54pm] pmchi: Aye [9:55pm] yari: ayyyy there he is [9:55pm] pmchi: Sorry I’m driving [9:55pm] yari: no worries - your safety comes first [9:55pm] yari: okay, with that the vote is closed. Three ayes and the motion passes [9:55pm] yari: We have sucessfully done one thing tonight [9:56pm] jokeefe: who will post the statement? [9:56pm] Radiojoe: alright! Hey, one is better than none [9:56pm] yari: I'm going to suggest that we fork the responsibility of publishing that support to outreach, although I am happy to help with that. [9:57pm] yari: Unless there are objections to that [9:58pm] Radiojoe: That makes sense, I'll be at the outreach this week so I can uptdate parties who did not make it here [9:58pm] yari: hearing no objections, let's go with that model. I will contact Wodensday after this meeting and discuss the publishing with him. Anyone who wishes to be involved, please let me know. [9:58pm] yari: And yes - it would be discussed at the committee [9:59pm] yari: Okay we are at time, roughly. I'm happy to accept a motion to adjourn. Unless there are other matters the members would like to discuss? [10:00pm] Radiojoe: seems not, do I have the ability o call motions?\ [10:00pm] yari: yes [10:01pm] Radiojoe: I move we adjourn this PNC meeting [10:01pm] Joe: 2nd [10:01pm] yari: it has been properly moved and seconded that we adjourn. Are there any objections to adjourning? [10:02pm] yari: hearing no objections, this meeting of the PNC is adjourned at 10:02pm EST
