[8:09 PM] Woden’s Day: Calling this meeting to order at 9:09 EST
[8:10 PM] Woden’s Day: IDs?
[8:10 PM] Woden’s Day: Anthony Jay, INPP, outreach chair
[8:10 PM] pmchi: Mitch Davilo, Chicagoland/ILPP, Swarmcare Manager
[8:11 PM] ILstateRep Richard: Richard carro/ILPP alternative rep
[8:11 PM] Radiojoe: William Dappen CA rep
[8:11 PM] Woden’s Day: Here is out agenda for the meeting: https://wiki.uspirates.org/w/index.php?title=Outreach_11/09/2021
Index.php
[8:11 PM] ILstateRep Richard: @Woden’s Day and dare I say, you are very right. turnout increases on discord chats, whereas the other stuff dampens it
[8:11 PM] ILstateRep Richard: we always have lively meetings on discord
[8:11 PM] Woden’s Day: Haha, maybe sometimes too lively
[8:12 PM] Woden’s Day: Anyways, it is 2022 campaign budget time
[8:12 PM] ILstateRep Richard: lets go
[8:12 PM] Woden’s Day: Richard proposed that we take this very seriously and devote resources to figuring it out.
[8:12 PM] ILstateRep Richard: yeah, cause we have a damn good battle up ahead
[8:12 PM] ILstateRep Richard: with signatures
[8:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: so we need the funding
[8:13 PM] Woden’s Day: I suggest that we check in with the treasurer regularly while doing this project. That's something I can do, but something we should keep in mind
[8:13 PM] Woden’s Day: Do you have any opening statements you'd like to make here, @ILstateRep Richard?
[8:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: yeah, it’s so crucial we stand up and devote resources to figuring what’s going on here
[8:14 PM] ILstateRep Richard: if we create a 2022 fund it clears stress for the candidates in facing battles as money can help figure out stuff in campaigning
[8:14 PM] ILstateRep Richard: a 0 dollar budget obviously does not work.
[8:14 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and this also gets new candidates in the ring
[8:15 PM] ILstateRep Richard: because it will clear some of their things about running
[8:15 PM] ILstateRep Richard: I ties the floor
[8:15 PM] ILstateRep Richard: *yield
[8:15 PM] Woden’s Day: Excellent, thank you Richard.
[8:15 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and if I may add
[8:16 PM] ILstateRep Richard: @Radiojoe gave us an excellent idea that could help us with getting the campaign wing up
[8:16 PM] ILstateRep Richard: the 2022 fund plus the bumper sticker thing is an excellent thing to start with
[8:16 PM] ILstateRep Richard: head on
[8:16 PM] ILstateRep Richard: we need the campaign wing up, that’s all
[8:17 PM] Radiojoe: that was Abdullah, wasn't it?
[8:17 PM] Woden’s Day: Should we possibly shift this discussion to that of an entire campaign wing then? Since it's been an idea
[8:17 PM] ILstateRep Richard: yeah sure
[8:18 PM] Woden’s Day: If we have the resources and time devotion to create such a sub-subcommittee, it would benefit us
[8:18 PM] ILstateRep Richard: motion to create an campaign sub committee of outrewch that holds meetings on discord chat every Tuesday for 30 minutes?
[8:18 PM] ILstateRep Richard: or when should timing be
[8:19 PM] Woden’s Day: Well, hold on
[8:19 PM] ILstateRep Richard: because this sub committee need what it deeerves
[8:19 PM] Woden’s Day: Let's start with figuring out delegation
[8:19 PM] ILstateRep Richard: sure.
[8:19 PM] Woden’s Day: We may only need this one temporal meeting space if we effectively delegate tasks amongst our members
[8:20 PM] ILstateRep Richard: the outreach committee can appoint 6 people
[8:20 PM] Woden’s Day: Outreach has a lot right now. We have media to make, campaigns to run, a brand image to keep up, etc.
[8:20 PM] ILstateRep Richard: that’s why we need a sub committee
[8:21 PM] Woden’s Day: I think we could be willing to maybe give some executive power to our members.
[8:21 PM] ILstateRep Richard: Kk
[8:21 PM] Woden’s Day: We give them a responsibility and have them report back with us at outreach meetings, sort of like a microcosm of the PNC
[8:22 PM] Woden’s Day: Richard, we've talked about giving you some increased responsibility, how would you feel about directing our campaigns?
[8:22 PM] Woden’s Day: If the committee consents to this of course
[8:22 PM] ILstateRep Richard: sure.
[8:23 PM] ILstateRep Richard: what does Mitch think
[8:23 PM] pmchi: I do believe that’s a great idea. I don’t think there’s anyone more eager to make this campaign a success than Richard
[8:24 PM] Radiojoe: just to verify for my own sake, we are talking state elections at this point?
[8:25 PM] ILstateRep Richard: 💯:piratechad:
[8:25 PM] ILstateRep Richard: believe so.
[8:25 PM] Woden’s Day: The scope of this will evolve and change with time most likely
[8:26 PM] Woden’s Day: This is a short term solution
[8:27 PM] ILstateRep Richard: true dat
[8:27 PM] Woden’s Day: But if there are no objections, I suggest a motion to imbed Richard with the responsibility necessary to watch over the progress and health Mitch's campaign, and to come to us with reports, concern or discussion weekly.
[8:27 PM] Woden’s Day: (I cannot make this motion myself)
[8:28 PM] ILstateRep Richard: not me either
[8:28 PM] ILstateRep Richard: since that would be kinda weird
[8:28 PM] ILstateRep Richard: @pmchi @Radiojoe
[8:28 PM] Woden’s Day: Nah, you can. Unless this is out of principle. But you are a voting member!
[8:28 PM] ILstateRep Richard: it’s out of principle lol
[8:28 PM] Radiojoe: I am not contextually prepared enough to make this motion
[8:29 PM] Radiojoe: sorry
[8:29 PM] ILstateRep Richard: sweat sweat
[8:29 PM] pmchi: Motion to appoint Richard the responsibility of watching over the progress and health of the campaign, and to return with weekly reports, concerns or discussions
[8:30 PM] Radiojoe: 2nd
[8:30 PM] Woden’s Day: All in favor?
[8:30 PM] Radiojoe: aye
[8:30 PM] ILstateRep Richard: abstain
[8:30 PM] Woden’s Day: @pmchi
[8:31 PM] pmchi: Aye
[8:31 PM] Woden’s Day: Sweet
[8:32 PM] Woden’s Day: The first thing I suggest you two do is, of course, look in to financing campaigns and maybe try to speak to the treasurer about what is legal
[8:32 PM] Woden’s Day: Because I have absolutely no clue
[8:33 PM] ILstateRep Richard: yeah.
[8:33 PM] ILstateRep Richard: I do have some strategies
[8:34 PM] ILstateRep Richard: sweet @Woden’s Day but who will be in the committee
[8:34 PM] ILstateRep Richard: or the mini sub com
[8:34 PM] Radiojoe: it may also help to go through swarmwise for some referencing help, if you already have then good
[8:34 PM] Woden’s Day: If you want to, you can organize meetings and see if people can attend them. However, I think it's best we don't make that a weekly thing. We're doing this for delegation
[8:35 PM] Woden’s Day: I will be in touch
[8:35 PM] ILstateRep Richard: not a weekly thing
[8:35 PM] ILstateRep Richard: there doesn’t need to be a meeting
[8:35 PM] ILstateRep Richard: just an open chat dialogue
[8:35 PM] ILstateRep Richard: but we need to assemble a delegation tho
[8:35 PM] Woden’s Day: Oh yeah yeah, you get to have those here.
[8:35 PM] Woden’s Day: We're providing campaign some time to speak at each meeting
[8:37 PM] ILstateRep Richard: BASED
[8:38 PM] ILstateRep Richard: @pmchi crowdsource update
[8:38 PM] Woden’s Day: Oh yeah, that's the website.
[8:38 PM] ILstateRep Richard: I mean
[8:38 PM] ILstateRep Richard: crowdPAC
[8:39 PM] ILstateRep Richard: have u got an account
[8:39 PM] Woden’s Day: Whatever the website
[8:39 PM] ILstateRep Richard: but I like it a lot
[8:39 PM] ILstateRep Richard: they don’t take off a lot
[8:39 PM] ILstateRep Richard: only 3.5
[8:40 PM] pmchi: I didn’t set that up yet, thank you for reminding me I’ll knock it out
[8:40 PM] ILstateRep Richard: thanks
[8:40 PM] ILstateRep Richard: after that HOPEFULLY tomorrow I wanna knock out getting the voter lists for the ILPP
[8:41 PM] Woden’s Day: Okay, sweet, keep it going and let us know if and when you need any help. Ya know my DMs are open.
[8:41 PM] ILstateRep Richard: ofc
[8:41 PM] Woden’s Day: If everyone is okay with that, I think we can send the fundraising back to discovery since we now have a team for said discovery
[8:41 PM] ILstateRep Richard: also,
[8:42 PM] ILstateRep Richard: you and me AJ we need to knock out the Mock budget reaserch
[8:42 PM] Woden’s Day: Yes, don't let me forget
[8:43 PM] ILstateRep Richard: can you do it after this meeting or when
[8:43 PM] Radiojoe: be back soon
[8:43 PM] ILstateRep Richard: wait
[8:43 PM] ILstateRep Richard: can u let us know about ur bumper sticker plan
[8:44 PM] Woden’s Day: I will put it on my to-do list and get you some of my own independent research by tomorrow evening and then maybe we can take it from there? Might have to be a "casual DMs over the course of a few days" thing
[8:44 PM] Woden’s Day: Sorry, I am BOOKED
[8:44 PM] Woden’s Day: Why do you think I'm delegating haha
[8:46 PM] Woden’s Day: Do we think we can proceed to the car package business? I am aware Radiojoe has a plan, but we can still discuss
[8:47 PM] ILstateRep Richard: THINGS TO KNOCK OUT

CrowdPAC Set up

Voter ID lists gotten from Chicago SoS

Bumper sticker plan drawn up
[8:47 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and AJ and is over the day mock budget
[8:47 PM] ILstateRep Richard: hoping this can be done over the next week and a half
[8:47 PM] ILstateRep Richard: tho a bit ambitious
[8:48 PM] Woden’s Day: I think we can knock some of this out pretty quickly if we put our mind to it
[8:48 PM] ILstateRep Richard: yep.
[8:48 PM] ILstateRep Richard: @pmchi thoughts
[8:48 PM] Woden’s Day: Though, I do note that the care package is not just a bumper sticker
[8:49 PM] ILstateRep Richard: wait what’s in the care package then
[8:49 PM] Woden’s Day: It's grown in scope a bit, it's about a few different things we should send to state parties (bumper stickers, pamphlets, things like that). And I might suggest we grow it in scope even more, because I see no reason why these things shouldn't just be accessible for state parties to order from us 24/7/365
[8:50 PM] Woden’s Day: If we can create a bumper sticker, we should do it in such a way that we know how to make more bumper stickers when we need more bumper stickers
[8:50 PM] ILstateRep Richard: we don’t know how to make bumper stickers
[8:50 PM] Woden’s Day: To me it sounds like the start of a pirate resources kiosk, and we should probbaly treat it as such
[8:50 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and they’re a bit expensive
[8:50 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and William wants 2k
[8:51 PM] Woden’s Day: Oh yes of course
[8:51 PM] ILstateRep Richard: so we need to draw a cheap affordable effective plan
[8:51 PM] Woden’s Day: But once we find a method we should preserve that method
[8:51 PM] Woden’s Day: New state parties won't need this crap once, you feel me? They'll need it over and over again
[8:52 PM] ILstateRep Richard: my ideal, vision pirate party is outrewch and campaign committee meetings once every 3 hours. no sleep. Just plan
[8:52 PM] ILstateRep Richard:
[8:53 PM] ILstateRep Richard: hehhehehee
[8:53 PM] Woden’s Day: Oh, to be paid to do what we do
[8:53 PM] ILstateRep Richard: I would pay with free food
[8:54 PM] ILstateRep Richard: everyone gets pizza shipped to their door every Saturday and a coffee
[8:54 PM] ILstateRep Richard: mhmmm Richards ideal pirate party
[8:54 PM] ILstateRep Richard: free food shipping’s

MAX meeting time
[8:54 PM] Woden’s Day: Haha, alright, let's get back on track
[8:55 PM] Woden’s Day: Anything we should spend these last few minutes on?
[8:55 PM] ILstateRep Richard: ok
[8:55 PM] ILstateRep Richard: well, so next week I just report things.
[8:55 PM] ILstateRep Richard: oh yeah and
[8:55 PM] ILstateRep Richard: we need these things knocked out max 2.5 weeks
[8:55 PM] ILstateRep Richard: hopefully we can see something down atleast
[8:56 PM] Woden’s Day: I think we can. We have a good setup going.
[8:56 PM] Woden’s Day: Though, I am assuming we are motioning to table the care package discussion?
[8:57 PM] ILstateRep Richard: no
[8:57 PM] ILstateRep Richard: I want Some plan built up
[8:57 PM] ILstateRep Richard: here’s what I think
[8:58 PM] ILstateRep Richard: 100 Pirate Bumper Stickers

5 buttons

8 Yard signs

100 Brochures
[8:58 PM] ILstateRep Richard: the ideal care package
[8:59 PM] Woden’s Day: I feel like those proportions are off, though I can't articulate why
[8:59 PM] ILstateRep Richard: what would u think then
[8:59 PM] Woden’s Day: If you want to go forward with these items in mind, we can, though I suggest we do some research first before we set numbers
[9:00 PM] ILstateRep Richard: motion to set up an 1 hour research session
[9:00 PM] Woden’s Day: Numbers seem like something we should do after we know how we're getting these things y'know? Then we can know price per unit and such
[9:00 PM] ILstateRep Richard: to research everything
[9:02 PM] ILstateRep Richard: 😍 nerdy for research sessions
[9:02 PM] pmchi: I actually think yard signs are going to be of more value to us as a whole. Stickers can be place everywhere (and there’s already USPP logo stickers around IL-01 thanks to yours truly), but the yard signs will make a difference in the long run. More eyes will be on those
[9:03 PM] ILstateRep Richard: 😍 WAIT WHAT
[9:03 PM] ILstateRep Richard: there’s already stickers!
[9:03 PM] ILstateRep Richard: WHAT
[9:03 PM] ILstateRep Richard: never knew about that
[9:04 PM] Woden’s Day: That's why I'm suggesting we do this with longevity in mind. If we do this the right way, we can setup a care package AND create the beginnings of a Pirate Shop
[9:04 PM] ILstateRep Richard: mhmmm ❤️ we need the research session
[9:04 PM] ILstateRep Richard: we needa knock things out on the list
[9:05 PM] Woden’s Day: Yes yes, we will. I'm just suggesting we do this care package in a way condusive to future ordering of things
[9:05 PM] Woden’s Day: There is a motion on the table for a research session. Though, that just sounds like pirate chat.
[9:06 PM] ILstateRep Richard: pirate chat but down to the wrk
[9:06 PM] ILstateRep Richard: research various prices for it and create a net price thing and mhmm
[9:06 PM] ILstateRep Richard: that’s my kinda stuff
[9:06 PM] Woden’s Day: Haha, you don't need a motion for that, we already do that all the time lol
[9:06 PM] Woden’s Day: I would suggest we table this discussion and get to that.
[9:07 PM] ILstateRep Richard: today’s pirate chat could be about that or
[9:07 PM] Yari: are we meeting on here or on irc?
[9:07 PM] Yari: ah shoot I'm really late
[9:07 PM] Yari: damn
[9:07 PM] ILstateRep Richard: meeting on here
[9:07 PM] Woden’s Day: Yeahhhhhh. No worries though, we were just talking about having a lively pirate chat.
[9:07 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and discord chats are so good
[9:08 PM] ILstateRep Richard: they’re smooth
[9:08 PM] Woden’s Day: I would like to suggest a motion to adjourn.
[9:08 PM] ILstateRep Richard: smooth I tell ya
[9:08 PM] ILstateRep Richard: Objection, 1s
[9:08 PM] ILstateRep Richard: what if
[9:08 PM] ILstateRep Richard: we try to have an experiment on discord chat meetings vs irc
[9:08 PM] Yari: Rose Klein, CA
[9:08 PM] Yari: and I agree
[9:08 PM] ILstateRep Richard: because look
[9:09 PM] ILstateRep Richard: discord meetings are more lively, really smooth
[9:09 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and it’s easy to and record
[9:09 PM] ILstateRep Richard: and it’s really easy and good
[9:09 PM] Woden’s Day: Can you put that into an executable sentence?
[9:10 PM] Woden’s Day: Like "I motion we meet on Discord next week"
[9:10 PM] Yari: I move that the outreach committee hold the next two meetings on discord
[9:10 PM] ILstateRep Richard: motion we meet on discord next week
[9:10 PM] ILstateRep Richard: second
[9:10 PM] Woden’s Day: Alrighty, motion on the table (Yari's)
[9:10 PM] Woden’s Day: All in favor?
[9:10 PM] ILstateRep Richard: aye
[9:10 PM] Yari: aye
[9:11 PM] Woden’s Day: @Radiojoe @pmchi
[9:11 PM] pmchi: Aye
[9:12 PM] Woden’s Day: I will take Radiojoe's offline status as an absence
[9:12 PM] ILstateRep Richard: motion that discord is the OFFICIAL substitute of the outrewch committee it if irc or whatever doesn’t work
[9:12 PM] Woden’s Day: Motion on the table
[9:12 PM] ILstateRep Richard: @pmchi @Yari aye pls
[9:13 PM] Yari: I would like us to have some more discussion pending the next two meetings and how they go before we do that
[9:13 PM] pmchi: I think we should test the two week trial. I’m not opposed but I will abstain
[9:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: motion withdrawn
[9:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: anyways, I love Yaris motion
[9:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: the crisp in the discord meetings
[9:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: it makes everything so smooth and easy
[9:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: crisp
[9:13 PM] Yari: I move we adjourn, if the discord motion has passed
[9:13 PM] Woden’s Day: I do agree.
[9:13 PM] Woden’s Day: Oh yes, motion passed
[9:13 PM] ILstateRep Richard: motion to adjourn if the discord motion pass
[9:14 PM] Woden’s Day: I will take that as a second
[9:14 PM] ILstateRep Richard: MOTION TO ADJOURN
[9:14 PM] Woden’s Day: All in favor?
[9:14 PM] Yari: aye
[9:14 PM] pmchi: Aye
[9:14 PM] ILstateRep Richard: abstain
[9:15 PM] ILstateRep Richard: cause I want 5 hour meetings
[9:15 PM] ILstateRep Richard:
[9:15 PM] Woden’s Day: Haha, keep that attitude and we will continue to have a fantastic committee
[9:15 PM] Woden’s Day: Meeting adjourned at 10:15 EST
