Jokeefe gave a presentation on how to use wordpress to create a blog post within the pirate rogue theme that the uspirates.org website uses. Posts are created using blocks, which have a variety of editable elements, including allowing images. Jokeefe also described how the posts fit into the overall layout of the theme itself, and gave a brief rundown of the editable features of the theme.
The committee members present discussed briefly how different sources of images could be used to populate the website, including public domain images, creation of images, and fair use versions of copyrighted content. The committee went on to discuss a posting schedule and vague ideas about site modifications, including the possibility of changing the front page banner and the sidebar content, such as discord and crew links.
The committee decided to table the discussion of posting schedule and site modifications until the next meeting, and subsequently adjourned.
