What We Need

  • Slideshow presentations that cover topics such as:
    • Difference between symmetric key and asymmetric key (public key) encryption
    • Basic politics and history regarding cryptography in the United States
    • Addressing the "I Have Nothing to Hide" argument
    • Key trust and authenticity
    • How to use the actual cryptography tools.
  • Flyers for announcing cryptoparties
    • Should be easily editable, and in an open format
    • Should have proper graphic design, to pull curiosity to the flyer
    • Should have a factoid or simple infographic.
  • Facts
    • Information on PRISM, or government surveillance and data collection programs
      • This is a very recent issue, and most relevant topic; therefore, it should be focused more strongly on right now, for fact aggregation.
    • Facts should be cited to their appropriate source, rather than a news article that merely summarizes information, without the source.
    • Fact aggregation shall take place on this Etherpad: http://piratenpad.de/p/USPP-CryptopartyFacts
