January 4th, 2026 PNC Meeting was one of the weekly meetings of the Pirate National Committee (PNC). This meeting took place on Jitsi as a public meeting for everyone to join.

2026 Conference Updates:

 -A reaffirming that the conference will be in Boston.

YPUSA Updates:

 -The YPUSa have been working on the bylaws, editing and rewording it, and close to being ready to submit to the PNC.

 -Social Media accounts for outreach have mostly been created.

 -The previous meeting discussed on what the YPUSA will be focusing on, issues, platforms, etc.

 -Needing to link the YPUSA discord to the USPP website for easier access.

Conference 2026 Update:

 -The tournament to decide the host city was mixed and probably won't be done again.

New State Party and Candidate Updates:
-OH:

 -Ohio gained full membership status and became a PNC member state.

 -The Vote unanimous.

-NV:

 -Discussion of getting Nevada a PNC member state.

 -Questions from NV rep on how state chapters work and answers to them.

-WV:

 -Discussion on WV being in volunteer purgatory and the issues rural states have getting volunteers.
