The Kentucky Pirate Party, or Bluegrass Pirates, was formed in 2022 during Ethan Osborne's congressional campaign, in an attempt to build a coalition of left-leaning third parties and Independent Progressives. In 2023, the Osborne iteration announced their departure from the United States Pirate Party, leaving them an independent Pirate Party and the USPP without an active Pirate Party branch in Kentucky.
