To rewrite Section IV Article I of the bylaws to include the following, to be inserted between “websites, blogs and wikis” and “The PNC shall elect”:

• The Director of Public Relations, who shall administrate social media accounts, advise the PNC on its image and reputation, readily communicate with the public and press, and orchestrate opportunities for Pirates to appear publicly.

• Proposed discussion of individual membership model for USPP

Not much progress, but did identify how to setup a form for the Action Network if we wanted to go that route. Bosun and James will talk about updating crew.uspirates.org.

• Director of Public Relations Bylaw proposal passes unanimously as written.

New Business

No longer had quorum once Anthony Jay having to leave around half way through the meeting.

Discussion about moving to a membership model:

• Suggestion to charge $12/yr with $10 saved to state chapters
• Suggestion to have a tiered system with a 1/3-2/3 split between national / state based on who signs up / renews the member.
• Would need to update the by-laws
• Suggestion to reach out to other national parties for ideas and how they do it
• Suggestion to take 6 months to consider our options

Megan: Suggestion to start:

• a Young Pirates for those under 18, especially 14-18.
  • Cannot hold voting seats
• College Pirates
